 Operating in-house ventures |

KEPCO KPS selected new regenerated energies as core in-house venture promotion items and operated the ventures for 20 months between May 2005 and December 2006. During that period, the Company had executed 12 general supply projects and 70 houses supply projects and achieved the sales of 3.91 billion won. |

| In order to execute its projects more efficiently, the Company suspended promoting the projects through the existing in-house ventures and, instead, has operated the new & renewable energy center from March 2007. To systematically execute the projects, the center will early construct organization, manpower and other project systems, prepare and maintain business & project plans and designs, and provide A/S and others. Being an enterprise specializing in new & renewable energy projects, KEPCO KPS is determined to play a leading role in activating its new growth powers and maximizing its sales and profits. | | | |

| As it is prospected that new & renewable energy projects will grow, to be a leader in the future potential market, KEPCO KPS is promoting such projects as to participate in the maintenance of MW level sunrays EPC (engineering, procurement and construction) and large wind power generation facilities. Sunray and wind power generation are core energy sources in the field of new regenerated energies. As is demonstrated in the government project to supply 100,000 sunray houses, the sunrays power generation project is progressing more than other new energy development projects. Wind power generation project is continually supporting the development of the technologies and systems needed to compose wind power generation-related systems. So, it is expected that orders to carry out domestic new & renewable energy projects will continually increase. |

| Retained technologies and equipment |

Based on its technologies accumulated from the execution of its business projects, KEPCO KPS acquired in April 2007 a patent for ‘sunray power generation systems and methods for controlling outputted power.’ Moreover, the Company is securing exclusive equipment for promoting the projects including system design programs and lineage protection and test equipment. |

| Sunray EPC projects |

| In order to initiatively preoccupy the market from the step of supplying of domestic new & renewable energy projects, KEPCO KPS is promoting the EPC process for MW level large sunray projects. In this regard, the Company has operated from April 2007 a task force team that considers various affairs like project profitability, project sites, and share investment. Furthermore, it is planned that new & renewable energy projects cooperation MOU with local governments should established in 2007 to construct sunray facilities set-up cooperation lines. | |

| Wind power O&M |

The central government and local governments are positively requesting KEPCO KPS to participate in operating 130 domestic wind-power generation facilities in total, of which 18 are out of order (as of the end of 2005). In response, the Company is planning projects for restoring domestic wind power generation facilities and examining the feasibility of the projects while promoting technological cooperation with domestic and foreign manufacturers in order to achieve the self-support of domestic wind power maintenance technologies. Anticipating to be designated by the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Energy as an exclusive organization to provide wind power A/S, the Company is poised to secure appropriate manpower and operate support systems to preoccupy the domestic wind power generation market. |

| R&D for developing parts |

In conjunction with academia and other industries, KEPCO KPS plans to promote projects for developing, manufacturing and selling products and for researching and developing product parts in the field of new regenerated energies by 2011.
