ACTUATOR
The actuator system is linear electromagnetic throttle positioning devi ces which mount integral to in-line type injection pump. They also be utilized on other types of in-line fuel injection pumps with the use of a n installation kits. They position the engine fuel throttle according to th e amount of current flowing from the speed control unit through the actuator. Many of the moving parts normally
 
associated with electric are eliminated, prolonging the meantime between failure.

The actuator is very easy to install by mounting direct connecting to the fuel control rack. In most installations the normal rotary to rotary connection is eliminated, resulting in a more trouble-free and accurate control system. The actuator controls the positions of the injection pump rack based on input from the speed control unit. An AC frequency signal(proportional to speed) generated by the magnetic sensor is constantly(speed setting).
If the frequencies are not identical, a change in current from the speed control unit change the magnetic force in the actuator. The change causes an linear motion of the actuator driving shaft and linear repositioning of the fuel injection pump racks. Rack position is proportional to the amount of current flowing through the actuator coils and is counterbalanced by internal spring. Since the design has no rotary parts and is totally sealed. No maintenace is necessary.
